Funeral service for Mrs. Jewel Cowley Wilkerson, age 97, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wilkerson passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
Mrs.Wilkerson was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late William Blake and Mary Gault Cowley. She was a seamstress for Serbin and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughters Betty Stuart, Lyndal (Roy) LeCrone, Sue Donaldson all of Fayetteville, son Blake (Betty) Wilkerson of Fayetteville, 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Newell Wilkerson, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation with the family will be conducted Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
