Jessie Mae McNeese Wales, 77, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Elk River Health and Nursing Center of Ardmore.
Jessie was born on January 29,1948, to the late Jesse Vernon McNeese and the late Clara Mae Ellis McNeese.
She spent a majority of her life in the Ardmore community where she was a member at Community Baptist Church. In her free time, Jessie loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, and cleaning around the house. She also loved to crochet as well as play the piano and the organ.
Jessie is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Cliffton McNeese, Donald McNeese, Wendell McNeese, Alton McNeese, and James McNeese, as well as two sisters, Barbara McNeese Romero and Shelia McNeese.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Douglas Wales, two daughters, Lisa (Donnie) Neeley and Cindy (Scott) Hall, as well as four grandchildren: Kayla Neeley, Ashley (Adam) Marlar, Austin Hall, and Madison Hall.
A visitation for Mrs. Wales will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama. A Funeral Service is scheduled to follow visitation with service time beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery. Bro. Steve Hargrove and Bro. Anthony Stephens will officiate the service.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
