Funeral service for Jessie Mae Blankenship Reed, 96, of Moulton will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Moulton Church of Christ with Don Layman officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Moulton Memory Garden. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Reed, who died Saturday, November 23, 2013, at NHC Healthcare, was born February 15, 1917, to Buddy Blankenship and Gertrude Hood Blankenship. She was a member of the Moulton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Buck” Reed; her parents; son, Jack Reed; daughter, Kay Gillespie; and grandson, Michael Gillespie.
Survivors include two sons, Bud Reed (Joann) of Cullmanand Mack Reed (Donna) of Moulton; two daughters, Jill Reed Burks of Hatton and Jo Dunlap (Chuck) of Trinity; 17 grandchildren and a host of great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
