Jesse Ray Pigg, 81, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Visitation will be today, August 31st from 10 a.m. to noon at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The service will follow with Brother Larry Burbank officiating. Burial will be in Central Heights Community Cemetery.
Jesse was retired from Reynolds Metal Company, and was a cattle farmer. He was past president of the Alabama Public Lands Association. He was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather and was an avid hunter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Inez Pigg; brother, Floyd Pigg Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Clara and Georgia Partain.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Martha Pigg; son, Johnny Pigg (Melanie); daughters, Jeanne Youngblood (Mike) and Tammie Murphy; brother, George Pigg; sister, Faye Myhan (Elred); seven grandchildren, Michelle Partain (Gaylon), David Murphy, Emily Pigg, Shane Youngblood (Lauren), Daniel Pigg (Courtney), Caitlin Wells (Chris) and Drew Murphy (Jessica) and nine great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
