Jesse Orlin McCollum, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the age of 84. His visitation will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, Sheffield. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Howard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Orlin was a lifelong resident of Colbert County and was a well-known cabinet builder in the Shoals for many years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael McCollum; his parents; seven brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty McCollum; children, Roger McCollum (Sara), Teresa Gail Mansell (Tim) and Greg McCollum; adopted daughter, Vickie Hite; sister, Rosaline Oliver; grandchildren, Ashely Olson, Amy Mansell and Sara Beth Humphres; great- grandchildren, Braeden Olson, Kobe Rainey, Maddie Olson, Sam Rainey, Asher Olson and Knoxx Humphres; and numerous nieces and nephews.
