Obituary of Jesse O’Neal Grant Jesse O’Neal Grant, age 90, of Blue Springs, passed away on September 10th peacefully at his residence. He was born on April 7, 1935, to William and Cannie-Kathrine Grant.

In the early 1960s, Jesse began working at Sherman Warehouse, where he remained until his retirement in 1996. Outside of work, he devoted countless hours to his garden and took pride in caring for his land. Jesse was also a faithful member of Center Hill Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 71 years, Mildred Cooper Grant, who lovingly cared for him until his final moments. He is also survived by six children: Ricky Owens (Cindy), Ray Grant (Teresa), Sue Cook, Debbie McCraw (Billy), Larry Grant (Michelle), and Lisa Wilder (Frank). His 13 grandchildren: Whitney Ard (Brian), Jason Grant (Monica), Anya Feathers (Chris), Josh McCraw (Mandi), Jeremy McCraw (Miranda), Michael Wages (Marci), Annalesa Cook-Elis (Kenneth), Ashley McCain (Wesley), Monica Washington (Dylan), Brooke Perry (Jonathan), Rachel Wilder, Logan Wilder and Ciara Wilder. As well as his 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; six sisters; his grandson, Jonathan O’Neal McCraw; and his son-in-law, Russell Cook.

The pallbearers will be Michael Wages, Jason Grant, Josh McCraw, Jeremy McCraw, Logan Wilder, Brian Ard, and Dylan Washington. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandsons.

A visitation will be at Center Hill Baptist Church on Friday September 12th from 1-4pm. With the funeral following at 4 pm. Burial will be at Center Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Keith Cobb, Rev. Josh McCraw, and Rev. Frank Wilder. Browning Funeral Home is honored to be helping the Grant Family with the arrangements.
