Jesse Leon Lanier, 72, of Iuka, Ms. died Saturday, August 4, 2018. His visitation will be Monday, August 6th from 11 am until 2 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. His funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm with Bro. Larry Burbank officiating. Burial will follow in Central Heights Community Cemetery.
Mr. Lanier was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by sons, Rodney Lanier and Ryan Lanier; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Lanier; sons, Russell Lanier, Randall Lanier, Rocky Lanier, Jackie Reeves, and Mitchell Scott; daughters, Gracie Lanier and Ginger Crampton (Jason); 13 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Reeves, Kris Lanier, Justin Scott, Drew Scott, Logan Lanier, Shalor Crunk, and Josh Aldridge.
