Jesse C. Poores Sr., 62, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at New Bethel Baptist Church, Belmont. The service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Joel Cemetery, Dennis, Mississippi. He was retired from the U.S. Army after serving more than 30 years. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, is directing.
