Mr. Jesse “B-Line” Hutchins, age 88, of the Rock Island community passed away on Wednesday, November 05, 2025 at his residence. He was born on September 10, 1937 to the late Charlie Lee Hutchins and Beulah Rigsby Hutchins. He worked at Thomas Industries for over 40 years making light fixtures and operating overhead cranes and was a member of the Rock Island Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and farming. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Hubert Hutchins and James Hutchins, and sisters Ester Mai Simonds, Inez Girdley, and Reba Sue Denton.
Survivors include his loving wife Hattie Patricia Hutchins, sons Rickey (Patricia) Hutchins of Quebeck, TN and Doug (Tina) Hutchins of Rock Island, daughters Angelia Hutchins of Rock Island and Tammy Annette (Bruce) Smith of McMinnville, TN, grandchildren Michael Hutchins, Jessica Hutchins, Tyler Hutchins, Autumn Hutchins, Kyle Smith, and Payton Smith, and great grandchildren James and Gideon Hutchins, Cannon and Abram Martin, and Ivan Hutchins, Grayson Hutchins, and Aubrie Hutchins. Close family friend Kenny Moore and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends also survive.
Funeral service for Mr. Jesse Lee Hutchins will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 09, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. R.C. Christian will officiate. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
