Jerry Wilson Steelman, 68, of Stansbury Park, Utah, died, Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 7, 1947 in Decatur. He was a 1965 graduate of Decatur High School and a 1969 graduate of Florence State University.
Mr. Steelman was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela Steelman; his father, Gentry Steelman and mother, Melba Steelman; grandparents, Rufus and Elizabeth Steelman and Homer and Mamie McWhorter.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Steelman; son, Chris Steelman and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Jennifer Steelman; and grandson Hayden Steelman; sister, Patricia Steelman Laseter and her husband, Jim Laseter; sister-in-law, Jamie McDonald and her husband, Virgil McDonald; nephew, Brandon (Leigh) Laseter; niece, Amy (Richard) Husted; niece, Leslie (Sae) Evans; niece, Lindsey (Andrew) Doss; two great-nieces, one great-nephew and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 at Tate Mortuary in Tooele, Utah. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Decatur, later in the spring of 2016.
