Jerry Wayne Williams, 66, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on today at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Williams Chapel Church with Pastor Malcolm Scott officiating. Burial will be in Williams Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Williams loved to read and was an avid Alabama and Chicago Bears football fan.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Sego Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Williams, and sister, Bea Williams Strickland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity .
