Jerry Wayne Whitehead, age 78, of Lawrenceburg,TN passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg,TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg,TN, and attended Calvary Hill Church of God. He was a retired truck driver for Gobble Trucking and Fleeman Carriers. Mr. Whitehead served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gurtis and Clara E. Richardson Whitehead.
He is survived by his wife Melinda Carol Gobble Whitehead of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Korey Whitehead (Kristy) of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandchildren, Kameron Whitehead (Shayna) of Columbia, TN, Jessi Montgomery (Kyle) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Jacob Whitehead of Hillsboro, TN, John Whitehead of Lawrenceburg, TN; four siblings, Dale Jenkins (Clyde) of Louisville, KY, Mary Tichy, of Lawrenceburg, TN, Doyle Whitehead (Janie), Poplar Bluff, MO, and Dianne Hinkel of Cape Coral, FL
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, with Jonathan Weathers and Lucas Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN, with full military honors.
