Jerry Wayne Poling, 76, of Iuka, MS, died Monday, January 11, 2016, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Mr. Poling was a member of Iuka Gospel Chapel where he served as an elder. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been employed for 41 years at Piggly Wiggly in Iuka, where he worked as produce manager. Mr. Poling’s church was his life, and he also loved animals of all kinds. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, at Iuka Gospel Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 noon, Friday, January 15, at Iuka Gospel Chapel, officiated by Bro. Encil Edmonds and Bro. Mike Hunt. Interment will follow in Corinth National Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Lewis Poling of Iuka; three sons, Kevin Poling (Tammie) of Brownsville, TX, Alan Poling (Conshalla) of Iuka, and Andy Poling (Poppy) of Corinth; two daughters, Melissa Poling Kilough and Jill Higginbottom (Anthony Lee), all of Iuka; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
