Jerry Wayne Palmer, 60, died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at his home. He was born August 21, 1953, to Curtis and Jessmer Colburn Palmer. He previously worked for River Oaks, Hickory Hill, and Mid-America Hardwood. He enjoyed construction type work and was a very hard and talented worker. He enjoyed music and playing his drums. He loved nature, animals, and being outdoors.
No services will be held. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly Reed, and daughter, Bethany Reed, both of Fulton; two sisters, Margaret Palmer Johnson and Ann Palmer Lindley, both of Hamilton, Ala.; one brother, Bobby Palmer of Humboldt, TN; a half-sister, Carolyn Davis of New Albany; and two half-brothers, Hugh Edwards of Ripley and Jimmy Edwards of New Albany.
He was preceded in death by his parents; the parents who raised him, Troy and Ludie Ballard; and a half-sister, Marilyn Edwards.
