Jerry Wayne Leslie, 59, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at his home. He was born June 8, 1954, in Tupelo to Albert Leslie, Jr., and Lillie Mae Harden Leslie. He received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Mississippi in 1977. At Ole Miss, he served as officer of his fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi. He was a member of the Fulton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a kind-hearted and personable individual who never met a stranger.

Services will be at 11 a. m. Monday, January 13, at the Fulton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Wilson and the Rev. Phillip Box officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one son, Patrick Wayne Leslie (Victoria), of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Patrick Wayne Leslie, Jr., and Olive Mackenzie Leslie; his sister, Rhonda Leslie Rick (Clay) of Fulton; one nephew, Trey Rick (Amanda) of Yukon, OK; one niece, Chelsea Rick, of Vicksburg; a grand-nephew, Hudson Bourne Rick; and special friends, Lynn Mayhall and Navaeh Baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Don Fenger, Greg Davis, Joey Steele, Dwight McGee, and Herman E. Hussey, Sr. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Michael Howell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.
