Mr. Jerry Wayne Godwin age 75, of Grove Oak, Alabama passed away peacefully at his residence. Mr. Godwin was a lifelong resident of Marshall County. He loved the outdoors, Alabama football and especially watching football with his grandchildren. He enjoyed being with his family and having family get togethers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Mr. Godwin to Shepherds Cove Hospice.
Visitation for Mr. Godwin will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at Carr Funeral Home Guntersville between 11:00am and 1:00pm. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at Carr Funeral Home at 1pm with Bro. Mike Mobbs and Winford Johnson officiating.
The family has requested a private Graveside.
Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by Wife; Betty Carlton, Parents; Samuel and Imogene Godwin.
Mr. Godwin is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years; Marsha Godwin, Son; Bryan Godwin, Daughters; Amy Childress (Joey), Jena Lamar (Bobby), Grandchildren; Caroline, Mallory, Collin, Allison, Connor, Hannah, Tyler, Cory, Ashleigh, Chris, Matthew, Great Grandchildren; Ava, Alaina Kate, Haiden, Maggie, Olivia, Blakely.
