Funeral services for Jerry W. Reeves “Frog”, 65, will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Brother Jack Bailey officiating. Burial will be at New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Reeves died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1950, in Morgan County to Roy Reeves and Mattie Callahan Reeves. Jerry was a simple man; he believed in hard work and loving his family. He was best known as the transmission man at New Center. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Reeves; and a sister, Deborah Hill.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy Reeves (Cindy) and Jeremy Reeves (Holly); two daughters, Tammy Taylor (Tim) and Amanda Barnett (Jonathan); one brother, Jimmy Reeves; three sisters, Gayle Mason, Ann Shadden, and Sandra Barnett; seven grandchildren, Sidney and Katie Reeves, Ryder and Chloe Reeves, Blake Taylor, and Ava and Carter Barnett; and one great-grandchild, Bentley.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
