Mr. Jerry W. Burgess Sr. age 65, of Union Grove, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Burgess was born December 27, 1952 in Cullman County to Charles Henry Burgess & Dolly Mae Freeman Burgess. He enjoyed fishing, watching Alabama Football & spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Burgess is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kathy Day Burgess; son & daughter-in-law, Jerry Wayne Burgess, Jr. & Christina; daughter & brother-in-law, Susan Burgess Murray & Neil; chosen daughter & brother-in-law, Tiffany Carter & Aaron; grandchildren, Jared Burgess, Kaleb Burgess, Devon Murray, Garett Murray, Colby Blanken, Emilee Blanken, Shelbie Blanken, Mariah Baken; great grandchild, Serenity Blanken; sisters, Patricia Hill, Christine King, Lillie Selby & Teresa Carter; host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Burgess, Mark Burgess & Freeman Burgess.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday June 28, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Robert Boyd & Bro. Kenneth Stover, officiating with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Arab Dialysis Center.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday June 27, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
