Jerry Virgil Carter, 94 of Athens, AL died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Athens Health & Rehab. He was born October 30, 1931, to Oliver and Laura Carter in Limestone County. Mr. Carter was a Member of Mt. Carmel Church of Christ & a US Navy Veteran. Services will be Thursday, 2 PM at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Odis Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 12 Noon until service time. Pallbearers will be Lynn Moran, Peyton Moran, Robert Martin, Dustin Harville, Ronnie Nordin & Jimmy Manry
