Jerry “Ten Man” Lee Russell, 68, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at his home. A lifelong resident of Pontotoc, he cherished his over 40 years as a commercial truck driver. He made countless friends at various truck stops and through CB radio. He loved spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Known as a proud man, he was always willing to help others. In his retirement years, he enjoyed taking on new challenges, from operating heavy equipment to fixing anything he thought needed attention, and chatting on his CB radio. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include, Linda Russell, his 3 brothers, Jimmy Russell (Angela), Bobby Russell (Kim), and Steve Null (Lorie), his sister, Patty Blaylock (Jimmy), his daughter, Janice Smith (Billy), 3 stepchildren, Frankie Hook (Robert), Jennie Roberts (Andrew), and James Bishop (Amy), 7 grandchildren, Victoria Eldridge (Ben), Seth Smith (Carly), Mason Smith, Kellie Hunt (Justin), Alex Bishop, Dalton Bishop, and Cheyenne Bishop, and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Russell, mother, Ruby Jean Ferguson Russell, and 2 grandchildren, Ava Hunt and Landon Bishop.
A visitation will be held from 1–4 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc.
