Jerry Ronald Heathcoat, age 62, of Florence, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. Visitation will be today, June 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, June 6, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Porter Russ and Demos Gallender officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Jerry was a member of Parkway Community Church of God. He was retired from ECM. He loved gardening and working with his hands.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Arline Heathcoat; brothers, Robert, Donnie and E.W. Heathcoat; and sister, Jeffie Crane.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gennie Ticer Heathcoat; sons, Joshua (Shelby) and Jesse (Christi) Heathcoat; daughter adopted into our hearts, Jennifer (Michael) Eagerton; grandchildren, Aubrey, Jacob and Samuel Heathcoat, and Hannah, Morgan and Christian Eagerton; brothers, Jimmy (Ruby), Billy (Judy), Charles (Brenda) and Ralph (Pam) Heathcoat; sisters, Milline (Neal) Thornton, Evone (David) Estes, Kathy (Johnny) Nichols and Mary Fisher.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
