In Loving Memory of Jerry Randall Wilks
Jerry Randall Wilks, aged 70, of Guntersville, Alabama, passed away on October 16, 2023, at Lakeshore Senior Living. He was born on January 12, 1953, to the late Theradell “Butch” and Ruth Wilks. Jerry’s journey through life was marked by love, family, and community. Preceding him in death were his brother, Jimmy Dale Wilks, and his mother-in-law, Mable Gregory.
Jerry is survived by his loving daughters, Wendy (Colin) Conner, Jennifer (Tracy) Colburn, and Joni (Mike) Putzig; mother of his daughters, Rosemary. He was a wonderful grandfather to Jacob McDowell, Emma Kay Putzig, Carson McDowell, Ella Grace Putzig, Mackenzie Borland, Trey Colburn, and LaShae Mclntrye. Jerry also leaves behind his sister, Brenda Davis, and brother, Ronnie Wilks.
A funeral service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. The service will be officiated by Bro. Tracy Colburn and Bro. Kane Brothers.
Honored to serve as pallbearers, helping Jerry on his final journey to rest at Lathamville Cemetery, will be Colin Conner, Tracy Colburn, Mike Putzig, Jacob McDowell, Carson McDowell, and Clifford McDowell.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Rebekah Brothers, Enhabit Hospice, and the dedicated Family and Friends at Lakeshore Senior Living.
Jerry Randall Wilks was a man of great kindness and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed.
