Funeral services for Jerry P. Brewer are set for 2pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home- East Chapel with interment in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 12:30pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Bro. John Little will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Chad Strickland, Joel Strickland, Mark Strickland, Neal Strickland and Donnie Grisham.
Jerry was born on October 7, 1941, in Corinth, Mississippi, passed away on September 7, 2025, in his hometown of Corinth. Jerry was known not only for his dedication to his community and his career but also for his passionate love of the outdoors. Jerry’s professional journey began when he became a partner in the Brewer Oil Company, which was established by his father in 1943. He contributed to the family business from the time he was an adult and played a significant role in its operations until he took over the company, maintaining its legacy until 1994. His commitment to the business was a reflection of his deep respect for his family’s hard work and values. Outside of his professional life, he cherished spending time at Pickwick Lake and boating.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Strickland Brewer; his sister, Betsy Brewer; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Ballard Brewer and his mother, Ella V. Brewer.
