Jerry O’Neal Ivey

Jerry O’Neal Ivey, 75, of Athens, AL passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Athens Limestone Hospital.

He was born March 27, 1949, in Madison County, AL to H L Ivey and Frances Virginia Kyle Ivey.

Mr. Ivey is preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn Ivey, and several siblings.

Survivors include one son, Phillip Ivey, two daughters Miranda Fontenot, Jerri Rouse (Ashley), three grandchildren, Riane Harrell (Nick) Brittany Walker (Brendan), Bradley Fontenot (Jessica), four great grandchildren Raiden Fontenot, Jordyn Harrell, Evelyn Walker, Elijah Walker, several brothers, sisters nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Brendan Walker officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 – 2 p.m.
