Mrs. Jerry Nell Alexander Keeton, 83, of Cherokee, passed away on August 24, 2014. The visitation will be Wednesday, August 27th from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Tony Datuin and Rev. Sammy Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Barton Cemetery.
Jerry Nell was a lifelong member of Cherokee United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful wife and homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar Keeton; parents; and brother, C.D. (Dennon) Alexander.
She is survived by her son: Charles Howard (Buddy) Keeton (Susan); daughters: Ginny Blackburn and Linda Sanford (Garner); granddaughters: Jeremi Blackburn, Stephanie Blackburn Kelly, Jodie Byrd, Missy Montgomery, Ann Keeton Sanford and Mary Louise Sanford; and great-grandsons, Ridge and Charlie Byrd.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Kelly, Robert Byrd, Marc Montgomery, Anthony Franks, Garner Sanford and Buddy Keeton.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cherokee United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice for their loving care of their mother during her illness.
