Jerry Lee Wallace, 81, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Sunshine Healthcare in Pontotoc, MS. Born on November 11, 1944, in Memphis, TN, to George and Bertie West Wallace, he spent his childhood in Hickory Flat, MS. He was a jokester that enjoyed big family gatherings, creating things in his shop, and waving at every passing vehicle. Family was of utmost importance to him.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie Boyd Wallace, his 4 daughters, Teresa Grant (Ray), Sandie Byars, Renee Wallace, and Stacy Denton (Jonathan), his son, Michael Carter, Sr. (Shannon), one niece, Lawanda Treadaway, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, one son, Jerry Wallace, Jr., and one daughter, Nancy M. Wallace.
Service will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 12PM. Burial will follow in Anchor Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Whitlow, Keith Canerdy, Greg Whitlow, Carson Caldwell, Michael Carter, Jr., and Steven Ragsdale.
