Jerry Lee Skipworth, 78, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at his home. Jerry was a retired painter and an avid Alabama fan.
Visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Bro. Jerry Campbell.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Nancy Skipworth; sister, Vickie Davis; son, Darrell Howard; and brother-in-law, Johnny Hamm.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hamm Skipworth; daughters, Casey Lovelace (Anthony) and Wendy Price (Josh); brothers, Jessie Skipworth (Dena) and Marshall Skipworth (Freda); six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; special friends, Sherry and Donnie Hill.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Center Well Home Health and Affinity Hospice especially to Tori and Haley and all the other nurses for their loving care.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hamm, T. J. Crumpton, Pete Keeton, Rick Ethridge, Justin Howard, and Jase Shook.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Caring Place and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
