Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Edsel and Inez Holt; brothers, Joel, Roger, and Paul Holt.
Jerry faithfully loved Kim, his wife of 25 years. He deeply loved his three children, Julie Young (Jud), Charlie Holt (Laura) and Dustin Blackstock (Cheyenne). Jerry’s favorite title was Pawpaw. He dearly loved his seven grandchildren, Luke and Andrew Young; Tays, Lyla, Caroline and Charlotte Holt; and Paisley Blackstock (on the way). They dearly loved their Pawpaw. He is also survived by his beloved nieces Jennifer Zsohar (Jeff) and Jamie Modas (Steve) and nephew Wesley Holt.
Jerry loved hunting, fishing and sports. He was always planning a hunting or fishing trip with his children, grandchildren or dear friends or telling a good hunting/fishing story. He was the best story teller. He enjoyed a good ballgame on TV after a long day at work. He was a dedicated employee of International Paper for over 20 years and Constellium up until his death, hardly ever missing a day of work. He loved his church, Florence First, and the great work they do in the community. More than anything, he loved his family deeply and his family loved him. He was an incredible husband, father and pawpaw. He was a kind, gentle, patient and loving man who was truly loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Billy Blackburn, Kent Holt, Tracy Rhodes, Trace Rhodes, Chris Hill, Wesley Holt and honorary pallbearer Steven Hill.
