Jerry Houck Dennis, age 71, of Lynn, Alabama passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018. He was a member of the Church of God, attended Concord Baptist Church and was a retired equipment operator in the Mining Industry.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Shawn Blanton officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery in Lynn, AL.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Cheryl Downey Dennis; children, Jerry Houck Dennis, Jr., James Dean Dennis and Tammy Sue (Gary) Sartin; sisters, Lily Keller and Ruth Ambrose; grandchildren, Jared Dewayne Sartin, Casey Louse Dennis, Anthony James Dennis, Brandon Lee Sartin and Cherokee Sky Dennis; great grandchildren, Kayden Lee Couch, Lucas Jay Sartin, Liam Jase Sartin and Logan Chase Dennis; mother in law, Betty Downey; brother in laws, Joey Downey, Donnie Ambrose and James (Jennifer) Spain; a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Mattie Dennis; brothers, J.D. , Bobby, John and Ray Dennis.
