Jerry Harston, 85, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Milan. Mr. Harston, of Huron, was born January 11, 1936, in Madison County, Tennessee, to the late George Sr., and Bertha Armstrong Harston. He was a retired truck driver, and had served in the United States Army. Mr. Harston was a member of New Beech Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and farming, and loved his family and friends.
Mr. Harston is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Bruce) Osborne; three brothers: Bill Harston (Marie), Curt Harston (Betty), and Tony Harston (Teresa); two sisters: Sherry Thomas and Deborah Harston; two grandchildren: Brent Osborne (Shelby) and Brian Osborne (Kayla); and four great grandchildren: Addison, Solomon, Brooklyn, Naomi.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harston was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Blankenship Harston; and two brothers: George Harston, Jr, and Alfred Harston.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Mifflin Baptist Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends on Friday at 5:00-8:00, and on Saturday from 12:00 until time for the service.
