Mr. Jerry Glen Gaines, 65, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at North MS Medical Center.  He was born August 3, 1953 in Amory, Mississippi, to Howard M. Gaines and Emily L. Parchman Gaines.  Jerry was a graduate of Amory High School.  He was a disabled American veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, and stationed in Germany.  He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, fishing, and hunting.  He enjoyed playing with his beloved dog, Bear.  He was a member of Bigbee Baptist Church in Amory.

A celebration of life service will at 11 AM, Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. John Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Tupelo Memorial Park.  Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM – 7 PM and Friday from 10 AM to service time.

Survivors include 2 brothers, Larry Gaines (Mary) of Odenville, AL, and Richard Gaines (Marilyn) of Pulaski, TN; 1 sister, Lois Seymore (Robert) of Shannon; a host of dear nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, James Gaines, Billy Gaines, Waymon Gaines, and infant brother, Milton Gaines; 3 sisters, Shirley Mauldin, Doris Causey, and Nadine Clardy.

Pallbearers will be Duane Parchman, Phillip Harmon, David Phillips, Eddie Black, Randy England, and Chase Gaines.
