Jerry Floyd Brazier, Sr. age 80, of New Market, died Thursday, January 26, 2023. Jerry was born November 21, 1942, to George Andrew and Minnie Louise Brazier of Morgan City, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ronald Brazier, and sister, Martha Edwards.
Jerry was the co-owner and co-operator of Jerry and Floyd’s Barbershop for 58 years, along with his son, Floyd. Jerry was a lifelong musician and loved playing and building guitars and singing. He loved restoring old cars, building hot rods, and playing with his poodle, Jambalaya.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Georgie (Nave) Brazier, son, Floyd (Lisa) Brazier and Bill Garling. Daughter Kelly (Randall) Baldwin, and sisters, Dottie Gilliam of Arkansas and Alyne Sanford of Tennessee. Grandsons, Jake (Brandy) Parker, Jeremy Brazier, Matthew (Betsy) Garling, Cody Garling. Granddaughter Nicole Bergen. Great-granddaughters Ellsie Garling, Bella and Baylee Parker, and great-grandson Matthew. Brothers-in-law, Ted and Clayton (Mary) Nave of Athens and George Allen (Martha) Nave of Columbus, GA.
