Jerry Edward Palmer, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at North Ms. Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. He was born in Hodges, AL to Joseph Palmer and Ethel Lewis Palmer. He was a carpenter for more than fifty years and was a Baptist.
Services will be Sunday, May 11, 3 p.m. at New Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Hodges, AL with Bro. Tony Wood and Bro. Steve Ledbetter officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 1-3 p.m. at New Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pilot Hill Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of almost sixty years, Carolyn Palmer; two children, Jeff Palmer (Cynthia) and Lana Moses (Keith); three grandchildren, Cody Palmer, Cade Palmer (Sara) and Colton Moses; three great-grandchildren, Nova Sky Palmer, Kamdyn and Karson Palmer; one brother, Riley Palmer (Virginia) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lessie Vaughn and four brothers, J.C., Olen, Clyde and Billy Joe Palmer.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Stone, Phil Bullen, Cody Palmer, Cade Palmer, Kyle Moses and Colton Moses.
