Jerry Douglas Wheeler, 76, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away September 11, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Pulaski, Tennessee and was pre-ceded in death by his parents, James I. and Virginia Wheeler and a nephew William J. “Bill” Horne. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pulaski and was a retired computer systems technician and attended Martin Methodist College. He also served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his beloved grandson, Josh Dunlow, a sister Sandra W. Horne and husband, William R. “Rusty” Horne, a brother James Terry Wheeler and wife, Peggy and nieces Stratton H. Beard and children Jack and Camryn Beard, and Sloan H. Lake and husband, David, children Anslee, Christopher J. and Addie Lake.
Special friends are Ellen Wheeler McDougal and husband Dale and step children Sharla Griffith and husband Glen and children and Keith Morgan and children. He will also be missed by many loving cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
