Jerry Dotson, age 86, Haleyville, AL. passed away Saturday July 25, 2026 at his home. He served in the United States Navy, retired from Geralds Metals and was a member and served as a deacon for 23 years at Heritage Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday July 31, 2026 from 11:00AM – 12:00NOON at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL.. Funeral service at 12:00NOON in the chapel, with his son in law, Allen Barton officiating. Military Honors will be accorded in Franklin Memory Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Dotson; children, Jerry (Karen) Dotson, Ronda Dotson, Angela (Allen) Barton, Toni (Chris) Smith and Jeffrey Scott (Amananda) Dotson; sisters, Carolyn June Dotson and Judy Dotson; brother, Michael Edward Dotson; 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hazel Dotson; brothers, James William Dotson and Jack Dotson; grandson, William Riley Barton.
