Jerry Don HillA Memorial service for Jerry Don Hill, 76, will be Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Valley Grove Baptist Church, at Speake, with Bro. Tim Keenum officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valley Grove Baptist Church, at Speake. Peck Funeral Home assisted the family.

Mr. Hill passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at his residence.  He was born August 22, 1949, in Morgan County, to Clyde Truman Hill and Reba Vicille Hogan Hill.

Jerry, known to many as Jerry Don or “J.D.”, was a loving husband of 59 years. He was a devoted Dad and Pawpaw “Rudy”, to his kids, grandchildren and great grands. His daily passions circled around his family and the farm. Since 1968, Jerry spent most of his free time breeding and raising Quarter horses @ Red Oak Farms as the originating founder and self-proclaimed ‘CEO’ along with his wife Martha.

Jerry was a long-time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church in Speake, where he served as a Trustee. Jerry was also a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in 1968, 1969, and 1970. He was an Auburn fan and loved his horses.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother- Ronnie Shannon Hill and brother-in-law- Larry Daniel Black.

Wife – Martha Nell Black Hill

Daughter – LeAnn Blanche Hill,

Sons – Jerry Wade Hill (Jada) and
Jason Wyatt Hill (Meredith),

Brother – Terry Lynn Hill (Tina),

Sister – Rhonda Gaye Hill,

Brothers-in-law: Phillip Black (Gloria), and Robbin Black (Lisa).

Sisters-in-law: Glenda Hembree and Rita Culbreath (Brian),

Five Grandchildren – Savanna Lee Daniel (Zach),
Sara Wyatt McLemore (Ben),
Weston Scott Whitt,
Alexis Sky Whitt, and
Ava-Louise Hogan Hill.

Four Great Grandchildren –
Josey Lee Daniel,
Opal Ruth McLemore,
Augustus Wyatt Daniel, and
Clayton Dwain McLemore.
