Jerry Daniel Davis Jr. “Pop” , age 50, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026.
He is survived by his daughters: Vanessa Tidwell (John) and Kayla Harper (Owen); his grandchildren: Marlee Tidwell, Ryleigh Tidwell, Allie Sharpton, and Brier Tidwell; and his brothers: Brandon Heath Elliott, Christopher Shane Elliott, and Keith Langston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Daniel Davis Sr. and JoAnn Elliott Davis, and his sister, Melissa Ann Davis. A Celebration of Life will be held at: Williams Chapel Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Pineywoods Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Jerry loved fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and driving his truck. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me, So put me on a boat headed out to sea. Please send along my fishing pole, For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole. Where every day is a day to fish, To fill your heart with every wish. Don’t worry, or feel sad for me, I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea. We will miss each other for awhile, But you will come and bring your smile. That won’t be long, you will see, Till we’re together—you and me.
