Funeral services for Mr. Jerry D. “Mousie” Reeves, age 73, are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, September 30, 2016 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Reeves passed away Wednesday at his home in Lexington. He was born July 5, 1943 in Henderson County to the late Roy Lee and Ivy Lorene Dunivan Reeves. He was former Propery Assessor and alderman, and also worked for Lexington City Police and Henderson County Sherriff’s Department. He was an avid golfer and loved to coonhunt. He was a former Little League coach and loved his family, his children and his grandkids. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Gay Reeves of Lexington; three sons, Dwayne Reeves Jr. (Patty) of Lexington, Mark Lewis Reeves (Stephanie) of Jackson, and Dr. Jeremy Mark Reeves (Caroline) of Irmo, SC; his daughter, Holly Gail Patterson (Terry) of Lexington; two brothers, Joe Reeves and Mike Reeves of Lexington; his sister, Shirley Wooley of Lexington; and nine grandchildren, Tara (Cameron) Jones, Clint (Laken) Reeves, Cassie Reeves, Jacob Reeves, Conner Reeves, Bailey Alexander, Kinley Alexander, Elliot Reeves, and Harper Reeves. The family will receive friends Thursday, 12:30 – 9 PM and Friday, 10 AM – 1 PM.
