Jerome “Jerry” James Kennedy, passed away peacefully in his home in Huntsville, Alabama, on March 14, 2024, at the age of 77. Jerome Kennedy was born at home on June 10, 1946, in Allentown, Pennsylvania to parents John J. Kennedy (deceased) and Edna L. Kennedy (deceased).

Mr. Kennedy is survived in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Cynthia Marie; sons, Retired U.S. Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman (Fleet Marine Force) Russell Jerome Kennedy (Angela) of Eagle Point, Oregon, and Richard James Kennedy (Phyllis) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren Alyssa, Chyna, Anthony and Andrew; great-grandson, Noah and great-granddaughter, Gracelynn all of Eagle Point, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Nuclear Weapons Technician Jerome James Kennedy retired from the U.S. Army after serving from May 1964 to August 1984. He attended Harrison Morton Junior High school and Louis F. Dieruff High School in Allentown Pennsylvania and Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He received his associate degree from Pikes Peak Community College and later continued his studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alabama, Huntsville.

Mr. Kennedy had a zest for life and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, home brewing, his Mustang Cobra and was a craftsman model boat builder. He had an appreciation and love for animals.

Mr. Kennedy will be buried with full military honors in Alabama National Military Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
