Graveside services with Military Honors for Mr. Jere Wayne Ballentine, age 90, will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024 in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 PM until 7 PM at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home.
Mr. Ballentine, a US Army veteran and retired Maintenance Technician for Eaton Axel, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Bells Nursing Home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joal Ballentine; and a grandson, Timothy Logan Ballentine.
Mr. Ballentine is survived by a daughter, Crystal Hopper (Rodney) of Gadsden; a son, Tim Ballentine (Carla) of Humboldt; two brothers, Bobby Ballentine and Larry Ballentine both of Humboldt; four grandchildren, Riley Turner, Reese Turner, Jill Baine and Whitney Pendergrass; and six great grandchildren, Calli Anna Pendergrass, Charis Pendergrass, Anna Asher Baine, Deacon Baine, Salem Baine and Banner Baine.
