Jennings H. “Buddy” Smith, age 75 formerly of Cherokee, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at his residence in Tuscumbia.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Vinson Smith; daughter, Joley Murphy (Steven) of Iuka, MS; son, Chad Smith (Lauren) of Millington, TN; step-sons, Dr. Darren Malone (Laura) of Huntsville and Kerry Malone (Ashley) of Tuscaloosa; brother, Ron Smith of Florence; grandchildren, Violet Smith and Lilah Murphy; step-grandchildren, Brenna Allen, Jonathan Murphy, Liddy Malone, Alice Malone, Evan Malone and Maggie Malone; nieces and nephews.
Buddy’s family will receive friends Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, for those who wish to pay their respects. After cremation the family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America.
