Jennifer Kaye Hester Olive, 62 of Warrior, passed away Saturday March 16, 2024.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, known affectionately as “Grand Nene” by her grandchildren and as “Nene” by her nieces and nephews, was a beautiful person who had many loves in her life, including the Smoky mountains, flowers, gardening and caring for the elderly. Jennifer was often described as quick witted, zany and full of life. She was also known and admired for being charitable and big hearted.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Whitney Julia Faye Olive; parents, J.M. and Julia Faye Hester; father-in-law, Deris Olive and nephew, Sean Hester.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 27 years, Dennis Ray Olive; her children, Natalie Romine, Clint Poorboy and wife Chelsea and Tiffany Alvarado and husband Alan; grandchildren, Samuel Jacks, III, (Allison), Dalton Jacks, Nash Prescott, Jax and Eva Poorboy and Ivy Alvarado; siblings, Joseph Hester (Kim), Jack Hester (Debbie) and Julie Florence (Hugh); mother-in-law, Jo Ellen Olive; sister-in-law, Dian Martin; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday March 19, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Dennis Olive and Rev, Tim Blackmon will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday from 1-2 pm.
Pallbearers will be Mark, Chris, Noah and Tyler Hester, Matt and Zac Florence, Samuel and Dalton Jacks, Alan Alvarado, Kyle Trull and Nolan Couture.
