Funeral Services for Mrs. Jennifer Joye Fetner, age 50 of Ashland, will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Ashland at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Ben Rosser officiating. Burial will follow the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Fetner passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born in Sylacauga, and grew up in Clay County. She was a graduate of Clay County High School, attended Auburn University, and finished with her Masters Degree in Business from Virginia College. Mrs. Fetner worked for James O’Neal Dodge in Lineville, but primarily worked in the administrative office for the Clay County Board of Education for 10 years until she retired. She enjoyed taking care of her horses, going to the beach, and tending to her flower gardens and yard. Mrs. Fetner was devoted to her three children. She was compassionate and strong willed, funny and joyful, and her personality was described as bubbling over. Mrs. Fetner was a member of First Baptist Church in Ashland.
Mrs. Fetner is survived by three children: Katie McGill (Fiancé JoJo Brannock), Mary Grace McGill, and Miller James McGill (Fiancé Maggie Willis); her father, Larry Fetner (Darlene Carr) all of Ashland; one brother, Will Fetner (Dawn) of Delta; her nieces and nephews: Abigail Cody (Josh), Jackson Fetner, Nathan Fetner, and Samuel Fetner; her grand-niece, Eliza Cody; fur-babies, Stella and Lilly, plus other extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Raynell Miller Fetner.
Active Pallbearers will be Keith Miller, Todd Rush, Guy Freeze, Jody Long, Chuck Freeman, Todd Freeman, Maddox freeze, Nathan Fetner, and Jackson Fetner. Honorary pallbearer will be Samuel Fetner.
