Jeffrey W. Landtroop – Obituary

jefferyMr. Jeffrey W. Landtroop, 48, of Florence passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at UAB Hospital. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church and he was employed by ECM hospital. He was an avid Alabama fan and a fisherman.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church in Florence. The funeral will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. also at the church with burial to follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Rev. Chris Compton and Rev. Marcus Motton will be officiating the service.

Mr. Landtroop was preceded in death by his sons, Jesse and Jarrett Landtroop; father-in-law, Frank Shipman; Maternal grandparents, James and Evelyn Vickery and Paternal grandparents, Jesse and Opal Landtroop.

Survivors include his wife, Daphne Landtroop; daughter, Alana Landtroop; son, Luke Landtroop; brother, Mark Landtroop, parents, George and Doris Landtroop; mother-in-law, Sylvia Shipman; sister-in- law, Stacy Beaty (Jerry) all of Florence, Alabama; Sister-in-law, Debbie Jones (Randy) of New Hope; brother-in-law, Ricky Shipman of Guntersville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stan Bryant, Steve Bryant, Tommy Wade Marlar, Jerry Beaty, Randy Jones and Will Jones.

The family wishes to thank Dr. ‘s Lango, Reinke, and Athanasuleas, and the ER, Cath Lab and the CTRU at ECM Hospital.

The family would also like to thank all of their friends for the telephone calls, cards and prayers during this difficult time.
