Jeffrey Steven Bottom, 72, of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Jeff was born on Tuesday, January 13, 1953, to the late Mr. Terry Bottom and Mrs. Westella Pearl Buckner Bottom in Alabama.
He spent all of his life in Elkmont, Alabama, where he was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. Jeff entered law enforcement in high school. He made investigator at the age of 23. Jeffrey Bottom retired as a funeral director after 35 years.
In his free time, he loved and was proud of his kids and grandchildren. Jeff enjoyed spending time talking and visiting with people. Jeff survived 45 years of having Multiple Sclerosis, in which he never complained. He enjoyed watching his favorite shows.
Jeff was preceded in death by both of his parents, one sister, Trudell Patterson.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Bottom, two daughters; Westella (Adam) Woodfin of Ardmore, Alabama, Lynn Edwards of Elkmont, Alabama, one son; Greg Edwards of Elkton, Tennessee, two brothers; Jackie (Betty) Bottom of Blanche, Tennessee, Jerry (Pat) Bottom of Decatur, Alabama, six grandchildren; Makayla Stafford, Heather Stafford, Rachel (Isaac) Haney, Zeke (Brie) Haney, Katie Woodfin ,Sam Woodfin, three great grandchildren; Grayson Haney, Zane Carruth, Eliza Johnson.
A visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A chapel service will follow directly afterwards at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Hatchett Cemetery. Bro. Larry Bottoms will officiate the service.
