Jeffery Lee Kidd departed this life and met his Creator while mowing his yard on Monday, October 26, 2026, in the Zion Rest Community of Prentiss Co. near Marietta. He was 64 years old. Born in Memphis, TN. on April 21, 1962 to the late Wallace Kidd and Nellie Dillard Kidd, Jeff was raised in Southaven, Ms. and graduated in 1980 from Southaven High School where he was a super athlete. He went on to play baseball for Northwest Mississippi Community College, Ole Miss and Delta State. Jeff’s working career included 20 plus years at Sunshine Mills where he held many positions. Until an accident impaired his abilities in 2014, he worked at HM Richards Furniture Mfg. in Baldwyn. Jeff was completely absorbed by nature, all God’s creation and hunting and fishing. He loved the woods, streams and lakes of North Mississippi. He permanently settled in the Zion Rest community near Marietta for the past 13 years. Jeff loved to put a smile on people’s face and make them laugh. He bled Maroon and White, always rooting for the MS State Bulldogs. He loved his family dearly and faithfully attended Little Creek Baptist Church where, on Sept. 16, 2026, he renewed his trust in the Risen Savior. Always full of life and joy, he was a man who loved his family and neighbors supremely and went about doing anything he could to make their lives better-a true “Golden Rule” man.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Little Creek Baptist Church with his pastor, Bro. Jeremy Johnson officiating. His burial will be private. Visitation will begin at Noon Thursday at the Church and continue until the service at 2 PM. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo is honored to be serving their friends.
