Jeannette W. Evans, 84, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015, at her residence.
A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Reverend Evan D. Garner officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Evans was born September 19, 1930, in Albemarle, N.C. to B.D. and Carrie Wilhelm. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Gene A. Brooks and Roger A. Evans.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Adam Brooks; daughters, Linda Brooks Thomas (Larry) and Kay Brooks Hodson (Michael); stepdaughters, Lisa Evans Maxwell (David) and Kimball Evans Hagopian (Mark); sister, Peggy Biddy (Douglas); grandchildren, Jacob Thomas (Ann), Joshua Thomas (Katie), Matthew Hodson (Melissa), Elizabeth Hodson Loyd (Christopher); step-grandchildren, Eliza Maxwell LaVigne, Ian Maxwell and Katie Hagopian; and great-grandchildren, Lilly Thomas, Bella Thomas, Ava Thomas, Lucy Thomas and Nathaniel Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Matthew Hodson, Christopher Loyd, Douglas Biddy and Steven Biddy.
