Jeanette Lang McKelvey
October 6, 1932 – March 29, 2025
Though she will be missed, we give thanks to God that Jeanette is now home in Heaven because of her faith in Jesus. Jeanette exemplified the Christian life in every way and to everyone. Love, compassion, service, faithfulness, and gratefulness characterized her life. Her love and devotion to her family, her church family and friends were surpassed only by her love for Christ and His Word.
Jeanette embodied the woman of excellence of Proverbs 31. She enjoyed serving others, especially her family and neighbors, through her many gifts, talents, and interests. She appreciated the blessings given her by the Lord, and she simply lived her life to the maximum for His Glory.
Family who preceded Jeanette in death include her devoted husband, Gayno McKelvey, and her loving parents, Paul and Inez Lang. Surviving family members include her sons Dunn (Tina) and David (Rachel), her grandchildren Paul (Elise), Anna (Riley) Kevin (Lucy), Amy (Chase), Marjie (Jake), and Will (Allie), along with 9 great grandchildren!
Pallbearers will be her three grandsons and her granddaughters’ husbands.
Services for Jeanette will be Wednesday, April 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, just south of Moulton, Alabama, with visitation beginning at 9:30. Graveside is at Moulton Memory Gardens.
The family expresses special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care, and Lauren.
