On Monday, December 7, 2020, Jean Nicholson passed away at the age of 96. Born in Portland, OR while enroute back to Canada from California. She spent the first eleven years in Canada and then her family moved to California where she graduated from San Fernando High School. She attended Santa Barbara State College. She enjoyed a career as a legal secretary before having children.
She was a homemaker in La Crescenta, CA the bulk of her life and also enjoyed bridge, golf and was unbeatable in Scrabble. Later in life she worked at the Senior Center in Palm Desert, CA where she was a peer counselor. She moved to Alabama in 2015 to be close to family. She enjoyed friends and workers at the Terrace in Priceville and attended Decatur Baptist Church.
Special thank you to the Terrace at Priceville and Hospice of the Valley. Ms. Nicholson was preceded in death by her parents (Robert Doris Armstrong and Lucile Cleo Goodrich Armstrong) and one sister, Beryl Miller.

Sister – Joyce A. Wayman, Carlsbad, CA
Three Grandchildren – Lauren McCarley (Bert), Trevor Branas (Katie) and Tessa Branas
Three Great Grandchildren – Lilly McCarley, Ensleigh McCarley and Silas Branas
