Jean King, a woman of grace and elegance, was born on July 8, 1941, in Selmer, TN, as the beloved daughter of the late Charlie and Nola Wolfe King. On August 3, 1958, she entered into a lifelong union with her cherished husband Ralph King.

Mrs. King’s life journey was adorned with various accomplishments and cherished memberships. She excelled as a cosmetologist, showcasing her talent and passion for beauty. Her academic pursuits led her to graduate from Selmer High School with distinction, a testament to her dedication to education and personal growth.

A woman of faith and community, Mrs. King was a devoted member of Court Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church and cherished her lifelong attendance at New Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her involvement in organizations like Eastern Star, the Hospital Auxiliary as a Pink Lady, and The Red Hat Society spoke to her commitment to service and camaraderie.

Among her many passions, Mrs. King found solace and joy in tending to her garden, creating beautiful quilts, reading, and engaging in meaningful Bible study sessions. Her love for these activities reflected her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and the pursuit of knowledge and creativity.

On April 1, 2024, in Corinth, Mississippi, Mrs. King peacefully transitioned from this life at the age of 82 Years, 8 Months, and 24 Days. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her loving husband Ralph King of Selmer, TN; her daughter Mickala Sisk and husband Mike of Flower Mound, TX; her sons Steve King and wife Susan of Selmer, TN, and Greg King and wife Amy of Selmer, TN. Her presence will forever be cherished by her eight grandchildren, Megan Shelton and husband Will, Morgan Jones and husband Patrick, Molly Grace Bodiford and husband Mitchell, Tristan King and significant other Callie Beth Barkley, Allie Harvell and husband Cade, Sarah Pruett and husband Jared, Sydney Sisk, and Alexis Sisk; and her eight great-grandchildren, Kolby Shelton, Karsyn Shelton, Kate Shelton, Kora Shelton, Isla Jones, Margot Jones, Skylar Pruett, and Knox Pruett.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her stepfather Gilcie Case, her brothers James Wolfe, Vernon King, Doug King, and her sister Geri Parham. Her memory will forever remain a beacon of love, kindness, and enduring grace in the hearts of all who knew her.
